Standard

It’s Tuesday again and we hope your day is going great. Thanks so much for joining us. We love sharing our challenges with you!

And speaking of…here is this week’s…

Describe a recent outing you took. Where did you go, who did you go with, and what did you do?

My husband and I live near the ocean, so as often as we can, we take the time to go to the beach. Josie, our dog, used to be afraid of the waves, but now she loves to play chase with them. And watching the water, whether it’s calm or churning, is reassuring that some things are eternal.

We also have all kinds of history nearby, so not too long ago, Bob and I went to Fort Clinch State Park. It was first fortified by the Spanish is 1736 when they had colonies in Florida. Later, in 1861, the Confederate army seized it, then abandoned it to the Union army.

The cannons still stand, as do the buildings, and walking around is like stepping back in history. Today, it’s open to the public and there are ‘soldiers’ on site to make the history come more alive. It was a very fun adventure.

Loving history as I do, outings like this spark my imagination and make me want to experience more.

Now let’s hop over to the very talented Jill Haymaker and hear about her latest adventure.

But first…check this out!
