Hello and happy Tuesday. Thanks so much for stopping by today. We really appreciate it. This week’s challenge comes from the fabulous A.S. Fenichel:
Spring is here in the US. What’s your favorite thing about the season. If you can, share a Spring related memory.
Spring is my favorite season. I have lived all over the country and no matter where, there is always spring. The best part is the blooming flowers—oh and the birds singing. They’re busy making nests for their babies and telling everyone all about it.
There is nothing better than walking outside in the morning when the air is just warming up and the sparrows and robins are all twitterpated and seeing daffodils and crocuses poking their gorgeous heads up to the sun. And the trees, a few weeks ago so bare, now full of fresh green buds. The air is sweeter, the sun brighter, everything is new. I love that!
This year, more than any other in memory, we need spring. After a dark year of the pandemic and all that went with it, we have a vaccine which offers more hope than we’ve had in a long time. There is a light at the end of this tunnel and we all may actually return to normal in a few months.
Spring is always the time for cleaning out the old. I am not a huge fan of dusting, etc. but somehow I don’t mind when the sunlight is streaming in and I can open all the windows to blow out the stale breath of winter.
And color. I can wear more colorful, lighter clothes that just make me feel better about everything.
Oh, and did I mention the flowers…
Now let’s hop over to the incredible Brenda Margriet. But first, you have to check out her new release, coming March 29th and now available for pre-order…
