Romance Writers Weekly

Hello and happy Tuesday. Thanks so much for joining us. Hope you are safe and well! This week’s challenge comes from the amazing Clair Brett:

What are your hobbies, or what is a hobby you would like to start, why do these interest you, and how does it make you happy?

My problem is I have too many hobbies and there aren’t enough hours in the day to fit them in. My favorite is sewing. I love to take a length of fabric and turn it into something to wear or something useful. I love the variety of colors and the way cloth transforms with a few simple cuts and stitches. And yes, I now have too many clothes. Wait. Is there such a thing?

I also make jewelry. I love bling! It’s so much fun to play with the stones and wires and make earrings or necklaces or bracelets. I look through catalogs and try to re-create what a see. It’s a challenge – sometimes successful, sometimes not so much – but always fun. And it makes great gifts for my friends.

Then there’s painting. Acrylic on canvas. Like fabric, the colors make me happy. And sometimes I even hang the finished product on my walls.

Oh, and let’s not forget cooking and baking…so relaxing (and inventive) and it’s great to have something to eat when I’m finished.

(No pictures – I ate the food already…)

So you see – too many choices, not enough hours. Because I still have books to write and a house to manage. The good news…I am never bored.

During this time when we are all staying home—at least once a day, find something that makes you happy. It will make things better!

Now, let’s hop over to the fabulous A.S. Fenichel and find out about her hobbies…
