It’s Tuesday again and I hope you are all safe and healthy! Thanks for taking the time to join us. We really appreciate it!
This week’s challenge comes from the amazing A.S. Fenichel:
Other than the genre you write, what kind of books do you love to read and why?
That’s an easy one for me: YA or young adult. “Twilight” “The Hunger Games” and, of course, “Harry Potter”. These books are amazing! I have read them all over and over. The characters, settings, and plots are all totally engrossing and the authors have created people I would love to hang out with. These stories made me laugh, cry, and sit on the edge of my seat at the suspenseful parts. That’s what great writing does and I love these books!
I also enjoy the early Stephen King books like “’Salem’s Lot”, “Misery”, “Pet Semetary” and the now prophetic “The Stand”. Again, wonderful characters, settings and very satisfying endings, even though they’re not exactly Happily Ever Afters.
My bookshelves ache with novels by wonderful authors and during these terrible times, when people are sick and dying, it is books that help me get through the day. I am not a doctor or a nurse or a first responder, but I hope that people will feel cheered up after reading something I have written. That’s the goal. To give some respite and make life a little better.
Stay home, stay safe and read!
Now let’s hop over to the fabulous Brenda Margriet and see what genres she likes…
